Fan Jiang

Fan Jiang received the B. E. degree in communication engineering from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Chengdu, China, M. E. degree in communication and information systems from Southeast University, Nanjing, China, and the Ph.D. degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN), St. John’s, NL, Canada, in 2010, 2013, 2018, respectively. Since June 2019, he has been with the Wireless Information and Network Sciences Laboratory (WINS Lab), Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), as a Postdoctoral Fellow. Before that, he was a Teaching/Research Assistant, then a Sessional Instructor, and a Postdoctoral Fellow in Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science, MUN. His research interest includes signal processing for wireless communications, massive multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) and millimeter wave systems, and localization, tracking, and navigation framework.

Dr. Jiang has served in a number of international conferences with various roles such as a program co-chair, Technical Program Committee (TPC) member, session chair, and reviewer. He is also an active reviewer for numerous international journals, such as IEEE Journal of Selective Topics in Signal Processing, IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, IEEE Transactions on Communications, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, and many more. He has received the Postdoctoral Fellowship from Natural Science and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) of Canada in 2019, the Governor General’s Gold Medal of Canada in 2018, and the Best Paper Award at the 2017 IEEE Global Communications Conference (Globecom’17).
