George Denove

George Denove received a Bachelor of Science in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the United States Naval Academy in May of 2019. At the Academy, George focused his research on developing an integrated ship design process that incorporated important cyber security practices from the start of the design spiral, specifically concentrating on a ship’s industrial control systems (ICS). During George’s tenure at MIT, he conducts research within MIT’s Wireless Communication and Network Sciences Laboratory (WINS Lab) as a Draper Laboratory Fellow. George aims to complete all requirements for the AeroAstro (Course 16) Master of Science degree by the summer of 2021 and his current research interests include wireless communication and network localization. After completing his masters, George will continue his military service as an officer in the U.S. Navy’s Cryptologic Warfare Community.

George grew up in Naples, Florida with his two parents, one brother, and two dogs. He played baseball through high school. His current interests include exploring both the city and the nearby nature with friends, going to CrossFit class, as well as training for triathlons. He completed his first IRONMAN in May 2019 and plans to race his next one in Florida.
