Nathan Schatz
Nathan Schatz received the B.S. degree (with distinction) in Electrical Engineering from the United States Naval Academy (USNA), Annapolis, MD, USA, in 2023.
He is currently a Charles Stark Draper Laboratory Scholar and is pursuing the S.M. degree in aeronautics and astronautics through the Wireless Information and Network Sciences Laboratory at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, MA, USA. His research interests include wireless network localization, 5G/6G wireless communications, and non-terrestrial networks. Upon graduation from MIT in 2025, he will continue his military service as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Officer in the U.S. Navy.
Ensign Schatz was the U.S. Naval Academy Electrical Engineering Meritorious Graduate in 2023. He received the Captain Boyd R. Alexander Prize in Electrical Engineering from USNA in 2023 and the Navy and Marine Association Leadership Award from USNA in 2022.
