Nicolò Decarli

Nicolò Decarli (S’10) received the B.S. degree and the M.S. degree, both  in Telecommunications Engineering and with Honors, from the University  of Bologna, Italy, in 2007 and 2009, respectively. He is currently  working towards the Ph.D. degree at the Dipartimento di Elettronica,  Informatica e Sistemistica (DEIS), University of Bologna, Italy.

In Feb. 2012, he joined the Wireless Communication and Network Sciences Laboratory (WINS Lab) at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he is now a Visiting Student. His research interests include communication theory and signal processing. His current research focuses on ultra-wide bandwidth (UWB) communication techniques, ranging and synchronization, wideband
localization, radar and UWB-RFID systems.

Mr. Decarli serves as reviewer for IEEE Trans. on Wireless Communications, IEEE Trans. on Communication, IEEE Trans. on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Trans. on Signal Processing and IEEE JSAC, as well as for various IEEE conferences. In 2011 he served in the local organization committee of IEEE ICUWB 2011. He received the Marco Polo scholarship from DEIS in 2012.
