Carlos E. C. Souza
Carlos E. C. Souza received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), Brazil, in 2018. He received the M.S. degree in Applied Physics from the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE), Brazil, in 2013 and the B.E. degree in Physics from UFPE, Brazil, in 2008.
He is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Wireless Information and Network Science Laboratory at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, USA. Prior to joining MIT, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Department of Electronics and Systems at UFPE. His research interests include quantum networks for communication, sensing, and control, quantum chaos, and electronic transport in nanostructures.
Dr. Souza is the recipient of a Postdoctoral Fellowship from the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), Brazil, in 2024 and from the Coordination of Superior Level Staff Improvement (CAPES), Brazil, in 2023. He served as reviewer for multiple journals such as the Proceedings of the IEEE, IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems, and IEEE Access.
