Xi Sung Loo

Dr. Loo Xi Sung (MIEEE’2012-SMIEEE’2017) received the B.E. (1st Class Hons.) and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in 2007 and 2012, respectively.

Since 2018, he has been with Wireless Communication and Network Sciences Laboratory (WINS Lab) at MIT, where he is currently a postdoctoral fellow. His research interests cover circuit design, wireless detection and device characterization for radar applications. In conjunction with that, he also holds the postdoctoral fellow position in Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), Singapore. In 2017, he served as a teaching instructor in the same institution where he lectured undergraduate course in Circuit & Electronics.

Dr. Loo received Graduate Research Showcase Merit Award and Rohde & Schwarz Graduate Research Competition Award in 2017. He is also the recipient of JIP graduate scholarship in 2007 as well as the SUTD-MIT joint postdoctoral fellowship in 2017. Since 2011, he has been a reviewer in various IEEE journals and conferences. He also served as the session chair in IEEE MWSCAS conference 2016. He became the senior member of IEEE in 2017.
